LEGAL-003 · v1.0 · Effective: 2026-08-05
1. What CoraSend Is
CoraSend is a technology platform operated by Orangepill Colombia SAS, NIT 901835670-7, CL 127 D 56 B 90, Colombia. CoraSend enables users to submit transaction instructions, complete identity-verification steps, review transaction information and obtain support. CoraSend and Orangepill Colombia SAS are not the merchant of record, not the acquiring entity, not a bank, not a deposit-taking institution and not a licensed remittance provider for transactions made through the platform.
Payment collection, conversion, settlement and payout are performed or coordinated by the Financial Partner identified for the applicable transaction, acting through the appropriate legal entity for the corridor and payment method. The user's payment is made to the applicable Financial Partner, not to an Orangepill Colombia SAS bank account.
Orangepill Colombia SAS maintains a commercial business account with its Financial Partner through which transaction balances and settlement activity may be reflected. This account is a commercial account between Orangepill Colombia SAS and the Financial Partner. It is not a consumer account belonging to the CoraSend user, and use of CoraSend does not, by itself, create an individual financial-partner account for the user.
The following is an illustrative and non-exhaustive list of representative platform responsibilities:
- Transmission of instructions to the Financial Partner.
- Coordination of the identity-verification process.
- Presentation of transaction information prior to confirmation.
- Delivery of transaction confirmations and status notifications.
- Tier-1 customer support.
This list is illustrative and not exhaustive. CoraSend may perform additional coordination and technology functions in support of the operation of the Platform.
2. What CoraSend Is Not
CoraSend and Orangepill Colombia SAS are not the merchant of record, not the acquiring entity, not a bank, not a deposit-taking institution and not a licensed remittance provider for transactions made through the Platform.
In particular, CoraSend does not directly process payments, does not receive user funds in its own name, does not hold consumer balances, does not convert currencies on its own behalf and does not make disbursements to final beneficiaries. These functions are performed by the Financial Partner identified for each transaction.
3. Financial Partner Framework
CoraSend operates a partner-based payment execution model. Depending on the payment corridor, destination country, payment method, currency, regulatory requirements or operational availability, transactions are executed by or through one or more Financial Partners. The Financial Partner responsible for a particular transaction is identified before the user authorizes payment. The current list of Financial Partners and their roles is maintained in the Partner Disclosures.
4. How Transactions Work
The following flow describes the operational mechanics of a typical transaction through the Platform. It is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute any legal conclusion regarding custody, control or ownership of funds at any stage of the process.
- Instruction submission: The user submits a transaction instruction through the Platform, specifying the amount, currency, beneficiary and desired delivery method.
- Identity verification: Where applicable, the Platform coordinates the user's identity-verification process through the Identity Verification Provider.
- Financial Partner identification: CoraSend identifies the Financial Partner responsible for the transaction based on the corridor, payment method and applicable regulatory requirements, and presents this information to the user before confirmation.
- User authorization: The user reviews the transaction summary — including amount, exchange rate, fees and the responsible Financial Partner — and authorizes the transaction.
- Payment receipt by the Financial Partner: The applicable Financial Partner receives the user's payment according to the selected payment method. Payment is not made to an Orangepill Colombia SAS bank account.
- Execution by the Financial Partner: The Financial Partner performs currency conversion, settlement and disbursement to the final beneficiary in accordance with the selected corridor and delivery method.
- Confirmation transmission: CoraSend transmits transaction confirmations and status notifications to the user as they become available.
Note on fund flow: CoraSend transmits the instructions; the Financial Partner executes the transaction. The user's funds flow to and from the applicable Financial Partner, not to or from Orangepill Colombia SAS.
5. Identity Verification
Access to certain Platform features may be conditional on successfully completing an identity-verification process. That process is conducted through our Identity Verification Provider. The user will provide the required documentation and complete the indicated steps.
Successfully passing the identity-verification process does not guarantee approval of any particular transaction. The Financial Partner may conduct its own supplementary review, in accordance with its regulatory and risk-management obligations, independently of the verification process conducted through the Platform. CoraSend and the Financial Partner each reserve the right to decline, limit or defer transactions on compliance or risk-management grounds, even for users who have passed the identity-verification process.
For information on the processing of data during the identity-verification process, please refer to the Privacy Policy (LEGAL-002).
6. What You Will See Before Confirming
Before authorizing any transaction, the Platform will present the user with a summary that includes, at a minimum, the following information:
- Identity of the Financial Partner responsible for the transaction.
- Amount to be sent by the user.
- Amount to be received by the beneficiary.
- Send currency and receive currency.
- Exchange rate applicable at the time of the quote.
- Total fees applicable to the transaction.
- Estimated delivery time to the beneficiary.
- Summary of refund limitations applicable to the transaction.
- Link to the Refund and Claims Policy (LEGAL-007).
- Link to the Privacy Policy (LEGAL-002).
The user should carefully review all of this information before confirming the transaction. Once authorized, a transaction may be irrevocable depending on the corridor and execution status.
7. Transaction Confirmation and Receipts
Once a transaction instruction has been submitted, CoraSend will issue status confirmations and notifications through the channels available on the Platform. These communications reflect the status transmitted by the Financial Partner and are informational in nature.
The official financial receipt for the transaction is issued by the applicable Financial Partner. CoraSend does not issue accounting records or documents with fiscal or legal value. If official documentation is required for accounting, tax or regulatory purposes, the user should request it directly from the relevant Financial Partner or, alternatively, through CoraSend's support channels for coordination.
8. Customer Support
CoraSend provides Tier-1 support for general enquiries, transaction status follow-up and incidents related to the use of the Platform. Users may contact CoraSend's support team at info@corasend.com.
For disputes or claims that require the direct involvement of the Financial Partner — including fund disputes, conversion incidents or execution-level claims — CoraSend will coordinate escalation to the applicable Financial Partner (Tier 2). Users may initiate this process via info@corasend.com.
For beneficiary-account crediting issues — that is, where funds have been disbursed by the Financial Partner but have not been credited to the destination account — it may be necessary to contact the beneficiary's receiving bank directly, as CoraSend and the Financial Partner do not have control over the internal systems of receiving financial institutions.
9. No Warranties
The Platform and CoraSend's services are provided without any guarantee of uninterrupted availability or absence of errors. In particular, CoraSend does not warrant:
- Service availability: The Platform may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical failures or circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Orangepill Colombia SAS, including decisions by third-party messaging platform operators.
- Delivery time: Estimated delivery times are indicative and may vary due to factors outside CoraSend's control, including Financial Partner processing times, receiving bank procedures, applicable banking holidays and local regulatory requirements.
- Transaction approval: Submission of a transaction instruction does not guarantee its approval or execution. The Financial Partner may decline, limit or defer transactions on compliance, risk-management or other operational grounds.
CoraSend accepts no liability for losses arising from delays, rejections or interruptions that are not directly attributable to Orangepill Colombia SAS, without prejudice to any non-waivable rights the user holds under applicable consumer protection law.
10. Material Changes
Material changes — those that affect user rights, the identity or role of Financial Partners, data-processing practices, or fee and refund terms — become effective only after reasonable prior notice and, where required by applicable law, renewed acceptance. Non-material changes (typographical corrections, updated contact information, formatting) may take effect upon publication.
